Orla Molloy

Orla Molloy is the Climate and Energy Associate at the National Caucus of
Environmental Legislators (NCEL), where she advances NCEL’s climate and energy
work through administrative, programmatic, and operational support. She assists with
internal operations, meetings and events, materials development, legislative data
management, and collaboration with external partners.

Before joining NCEL, Orla served as Operations Director at Run On Climate,
overseeing organizational operations, development initiatives, and financial
management. Her experience also includes contributions to MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel
Water and Food Systems Lab, the U.S. Youth Climate Strike, and COP26’s media team.
Orla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science,
concentrating in Public Policy, from Northeastern University and serves on the
Environmental Action Committee for the League of Women Voters of Chicago.

Originally from Chicago’s South Side, she is passionate about grassroots organizing
and the role of state policymakers in advancing equitable climate solutions. In her free
time, she enjoys reading, biking along the lakefront, and practicing her Scottish Gaelic.
