Dylan Macy

Dylan Macy is the Communications Manager at the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators (NCEL), where he leads strategic communications to support a nonpartisan network of more than 1,300 state lawmakers committed to environmental solutions. He specializes in translating complex environmental policy into clear, actionable insights and elevating state leadership through compelling storytelling, digital strategy, and coordinated multi‑state media engagement.

Since joining NCEL in 2020, Dylan has strengthened the organization’s brand and digital presence, guided rapid‑response and proactive campaigns, and developed resources that help legislators understand a range of environmental policy solutions. He serves as NCEL’s primary media liaison, managing press outreach and preparing spokespeople for high‑visibility opportunities.

Dylan holds an M.A. in Public Relations from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, where he received the 2025 Outstanding M.A. Public Relations and Advertising Award and was a regular contributor to the USC Center for Climate Communications. He also earned a dual honors B.A. in Media Studies and Environmental Analysis from Pitzer College, completing a thesis project on how broadcast news shapes public understanding of climate change.
