Statement on the Loss of Rep. Quentin "Q" Williams

Statement from NCEL Acting Executive Director Dylan McDowell

NCEL is devastated by the tragic death of Representative Quentin “Q” Williams. 

Rep. Williams was a fierce advocate of social justice and environmental protection for all. He was a valued and energetic member of NCEL and an emerging leader within the Caucus. He was eager to learn about complex environmental issues to better the lives of those in his community and created an infectious spirit of curiosity and lightheartedness at every NCEL event he attended. His spirit, warmth, and passion will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The thoughts of everyone on the NCEL staff are with Representative Williams’ wife, family, friends, and colleagues.
